Professional, compassionate, caring, warm, friendly, a giant among men. There are not enough adjectives to describe this soft-spoken man who changed our lives so drastically.

My daughter had constant disabling pain for 7 years, the worst being the past 18 months. We were at the end of our rope. After 4 laser surgeries the doctors we had said they could do no more. It was only by chance that we were given Dr. Kanayama's name and it was the luckiest day of our lives. It was exactly 3 weeks from the day his office first contacted us until my daughter had her surgery at Greenwich Hospital. What a magnificent place - it looked more like a luxury hotel than a hospital and the care was superb.

Dr. Kanayama gave us our daughter back and we will be forever grateful. He is truly her "Superman".
