My struggle with endometriosis and infertility ended when I found Dr. Kanayama.  I suffered with undiagnosed pelvic pain and severe cramping for years, and tried everything to get relief… pain medication, exercise, and unsuccessful laparoscopic surgery.  Not only was I in pain each month, but I was also unable to get pregnant despite undergoing fertility treatments.  My husband and I began to think that having our own children may not be an option for us.

Then, we met Dr. Kanayama.  He gave us hope and told us what no other doctor had – that we could conceive naturally and that I could live pain free.  He took the time to fully explain endometriosis and his surgical technique for removal of the disease.  He was patient and kind, and answered all of my follow-up questions as the surgery date approached, no matter how many times I called the office (which was particularly important for me as I live in the Midwest).  Moreover, the first rate staff and facilities at Greenwich Hospital added to my positive experience. I was well cared for and kept comfortable in my private room.

The recovery process was challenging at times, but well worth it.  I am thrilled to report that a short 3 months after surgery I found out I was pregnant and we are now eagerly awaiting the arrival of our baby boy in July.  No more struggles with infertility, and no more pain.  Dr. Kanayama has made a tremendous difference in my life, and I can’t thank him enough!
