April 28, 2010 After struggling for two years to conceive our child, once I got pregnant I thought for a half of second that maybe I was actually “okay” and my unpredictable periods and occasionally painful points were not that big of a deal. Then one month after I stopped nursing, my pain points increased and were no longer even remotely bearable. Since anyone reading this knows the “pain” I am talking about I don’t feel the need to elaborate… Then, when my emotional state and physically wellbeing were dismissed by my general practitioner - even with a family history of endometriosis– my gut and my research thankfully lead me to Dr. Kanayama. The minute I walked into Dr. Kanayama’s office, I knew I was in capable hands. Within half an hour it was confirmed that I had endometriosis. At that moment I was frightened albeit relieved. Knowing I would have Dr. Kanayama and his amazing staff to guide me through this process. Again, I just want to extend my appreciation to Dr Kanayama, his wonderful staff and the entire staff at Greenwich Hospital, for all of their help to ensure that this journey was as “painless” as possible. Having this team on my side was truly amazing! The step by step guidance and patience offered before, during and after was an amazing comfort. Your expertise in this disease and surgical practices are light years beyond and I am truly blessed to have you as my doctor. Sarah |
