I am extremely grateful to Dr. Kanayama and members of his team. Dr. Kanayama treated my illnesses and the surgery he performed has changed my life. I have my health again. My husband and many family members and my church are amazed by how quickly I recovered from my surgery. Many people prayed for me, Dr. Kanayama, his medical team, my surgery and my recovery. God heard and answered so many of our prayers.
I had been praying for quite a long time (a little over three years) to find the right doctor to treat my fibroids. As time passed, I knew my condition was getting worse. I was told my only choice was to have a hysterectomy since I “no longer need my parts as I was done with childbearing and it was just easier to have the hysterectomy, and I would lessen my chance of getting ovarian cancer.” I was a little scared by what I was told, especially about the ovarian cancer, but I just didn’t feel right with that doctor’s reasoning. Some of my co-workers and some friends were told the same story by their doctors and they went the hysterectomy route but didn’t want to go that route. I kept praying God to send me to the right healer.
One day a church friend told me of her endometriosis and her experience with Dr. Kanayama. She went to Dr. Kanayama about two years ago and he performed surgery and she only had good things to say about him. She gave me his contact information and suggested that I see him. As my friend was telling me of Dr. Kanayama, my heart did a small leap and then a sense of peace filled me and I felt Dr. Kanayama might be the right healer. By the time I heard about Dr. Kanayama, my body was swollen, from my face to my feet. I couldn’t do my exercises and more because i had no energy and my abdomen had gotten quite large. I suspected that it was my fibroids doing something to my body but I didn’t know what. I also didn’t know I had illnesses in me until dr. Kanayama examined me.
With fear and hope, I called Dr. Kanayama’s office and spoke with Sabrina and asked if Dr. Kanayama will see patients with fibroids and she said “yes” and I was given an appointment right away. After hanging up the phone, I broke down in tears with relief and with thanksgiving. At my appointment, Dr. Kanayama, struck me as a very compassionate and humble person, dedicated to healing the female body by addressing illnesses. He was very calm, unhurried and he listened to my concerns and worries and passionately answered my questions. It had this great sense of wellbeing within my heart that I finally found the right healer.
My surgery was on January 10, 2008. My surgery was under 4 hours and I had close to 100 stitches. The surgery was performed at the Greenwich Hospital in Connecticut. This hospital looks more like a health spa resort. The hospital is very clean and the nurses are excellent. I stayed overnight at the hospital and went home the next day. I returned to work 4 weeks later with light duties and no heavy lifting for at least another 2 weeks. I resumed many activities 4 months from my surgery date.
I am deeply moved by the amount of strength, mental focus, patience, stamina, skills and dedication required of Dr. Kanayama and his medical team for each surgery they perform. It is no easy task and each surgery is unique and with its own set of challenges. Dr. Kanayama truly is a physician chosen and blessed by God. Dr. Kanayama also has the best nurses and Sabrina is amazing. You have the feeling that they are all there for you. Thank you, Dr. Kanayama, for being there for me. God bless you and the members of your team.
