As I write this testimonial it has been just over a month since Dr. Kanayama performed my surgery. I have been feeling extremely ill for the past eight years. I have had my gallbladder removed and then diagnosed with appendicitis. Thank God my fever broke or else they would have performed an appendectomy on me. I had a pelvic embolization that has left platinum and nitinol wires with stainless steel screws embedded in my pelvis. I lived in various emergency rooms over the past eight years while my husband and our four children slept in our van. Each one of these visits would leave me with pain medications, antispasmodics and anti-inflammatory drugs. Then told to follow up with my ob-gyn. I felt as though I was loosing my mind because nobody had an answer or knew what to do. I was a “medical mystery” to them for all of these years. My symptoms just kept getting worse over time. I was extremely irritable, couldn’t sleep or eat, nausea, diarrhea, night sweats, bloatin g, painful sex and my body hurt all the time. My periods would be twice a month for over a week at a time, very heavy and would cause me to be bed ridden if not wrapped around the toilet most of the time. I was at my witts end, I had no life anymore and I felt like a used up lab rat. Thank God my husband was so understanding and did not give up hope in finding someone to help me. I was scheduled for a partial hysterectomy a week before finding Dr. Kanayama on the internet under endometriosis specialists. When I read the testimonials it was like looking into a mirror. If it were not for my husband calling Sabrina and getting me in as soon as they did, I would have had another surgery with hormones and still living the nightmare. Dr. Kanayama, the surgery you performed on me has given me my life back to enjoy once again. You have a gift and I hope that other Doctor’s can learn from you and your knowledge of endometriosis so that other’s do not suffer needlessly the way som e of us have already. The Greenwich hospital and staff in CT. are ou tstanding and I thank all of them from the bottom of my heart. On behalf of my family and I, we are forever grateful to you Dr. Kanayama.
