Dr. Kanayama,

As you know, I had been suffering from endometriosis for a long time. I sought treatment back in 2003. But that was indeed a nightmare for me. The night after the laparoscopy surgery, I immediately developed a high fever and was rushed to the ER at midnight. The doctor who did the surgery on me came in and found that the laparoscopy had caused infection and internal bleeding, and so he did another laparoscopy on me to remove all the internal bleeding and infected tissue. I was hospitalized for a whole week and it was beyond words to describe how much pain I went through.

After that, I was too scared to see a doctor again for treating endometriosis. And five years later, the lack of treatment resulted in a tragedy - I was finally pregnant in May this year, but to my great sadness, I lost it eight weeks later due to my endometriosis. I subsequently went to a specialist in a reproduction center locally. But my experience with almost reminded me immediately my terrible experience five years ago. The doctor didn't look sure and confident about what he will do. He said things may get messy during a laparoscopy surgery and he may need a c-section if he can't see through the laparoscopy. This really scared me away, and I was in an impasse.

But I was so fortunate that I found you, Dr. Kanayama, after searching desperately on the web for an expert who really specializes in treating endometriosis and can really solve my problem. With hope and expectation, I walked to your office, and with hope and expectation, O went to the surgery room in Greenwich hospital. After five hours of surgery, I woke up and learned that the surgery was a success. Through my consultation with you and this successful surgery, I am deeply impressed by your rich experience on the subject matter, by your excellent skills in treating endometriosis and by your meticulous care of your patients. This is really a strong contrast to my terrible experiences previously, and made me all the more grateful to you for all your great work on me. Now, I'm happily back to normal life, back to work, and back to my friends and colleagues. I would like follow up with you - with your help, I believe I can overcome this terrible endometriosis and have a baby in the near future. I know this is not a dream because now I am in good hands and no doubt you are the best!
