After a frustrating year of trying to solve my endometriosis, I discovered Dr. Kanayama through his website. From day one his manner, his staff and his treatment has been top notch and better than I have received for endometriosis to date. From the first day that I called his doctor’s office I have received patient, understanding and knowledgeable help. Dr. Kanayama and his staff have taken the time to explain the condition, the treatment and the health insurance situation. All of this made dealing with endometriosis bearable. The surgery itself was 10 times better than I had previously experienced. The hospital and staff were incredibly nice and made the whole experience almost a pleasure. I was up and walking the day after the surgery and my recovery was half the time it was from the other laparoscopy surgery I had previously had.

My previous experience with other doctors was not pleasant. I had an ovarian cyst removed in February 2007 and the doctors treating me at the time told me removing the cyst would solve the problem. Unfortunately, that was not the case and six months after the surgery I began experiencing pain again and was informed that another larger ovarian cyst had formed. The doctors informed me that only viable treatment would be to either get pregnant or take Lupron. I knew that neither of these options seemed reasonable and began researching my options. Thankfully I found Dr. Kanayama who talked me through endometriosis and explained things more clearly than other doctors ever had. I would recommend him to anyone with endometriosis.
